Meet Our Founder
Alta Via Consulting carries both personal and symbolic meaning. Derived from the Latin Alta (high) and Via (road or way), the name reflects a commitment to “A Higher Way of Doing Business.” It also draws from the founder’s own name, Altavia Boyd, whose life and career embody the values of excellence, integrity, and faith that define the firm.
Altavia is a dynamic leader with more than 20 years of experience across counseling, financial services, human resources, and strategic leadership. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, she has built her career empowering individuals and organizations through mentorship, process improvement, and innovative, values-driven solutions.
Her professional journey includes service in the U.S. Air Force, leadership roles within major U.S. banks, and work as a Life and Business Consultant. Through these experiences, she developed deep strengths in leadership, counseling, financial stewardship, strategic planning, and operational excellence—skills that now form the foundation of Alta Via Consulting.
Altavia holds advanced degrees in professional development and interdisciplinary studies, with concentrations in counseling, business, religious studies, and behavioral studies. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education in Educational and Organizational Leadership at Dallas Baptist University.
Beyond business, Altavia is deeply committed to service, having served as a healthcare board vice chair, a mentor to military veterans, and a life and motivational coach in educational and ministry settings.
